Quietly, U.S. Moves to Block Lawsuits by Military Families

While public officials are out waving the flag toward these families, federal lawyers in court are now quietly trying to expand the U.S. government’s legal immunity from exposure to medical malpractice claims brought by those very same military folks. Now, the feds want the courts to recognize a bold application of an old doctrine — an already heavily criticized old doctrine — that would bar many plaintiffs, whose loved ones serve their country, from exercising the right merely to be able to present the substance of their claims at trial. soo…

pro-choice/roe.v.wade/abortion stuff has been in the news a lot lately…namely it came up on TRMS the other night and has been floating around the interwebs at a slightly higher frequency than normal.

sometimes i get tired of having the same tired old debate over and over and over and over…ad nauseum.

but sometimes people do crazy things, like killing abortion providers, or instigating intimidation and violent acts against potential abortion providers.

and then i can’t shut up.

that is beyond hypocracy.

that’s straight-up crazy-town.

if you believe abortions are wrong that is your prerogative. nobody, anywhere, ever, is going to even attempt to make you have one.

but when it crosses the line from from personal disagreement to attacking - physically, emotionally, societally - professionals, doctors - who are doing their job to provide legal services for people in need of them, well I just don’t know what else to say except; what the fuck America?

I know this is nothing new…and that’s the real pathetic thing..why are we even still arguing about this?! if you think it’s wrong I am perfectly ok with you having those beliefs, hell, I’m not even going to argue with you professing those beliefs, freedom of speech y’all. but do not, do not, tell me, or my sister, or my mother, or my grandmother, or my female cousins, or women friends, or any woman anywhere, what they can and cannot do with their body and their uterus.

it is not your choice to make.

and while you may not agree, that doesn’t mean you get to stop them from choosing.
