remember dissecting frogs in school? what an awesome learning experience. thanks frogs; i know you didn’t really have a choice in the matter, but i appreciate your sacrifice nonetheless. you helped me to fall in love with biology, which, in turn, helped turn me on to medicine. when i’m finally a doctor and i’m helping sick little kiddos be healthy, it will be thanks, in no small part, to you, little sacrificial biology class frogs. way to be.

Anatomy of the brainstem.
The brainstem is composed of the midbrain, pons, and medulla, going caudally. The medulla is continuous with the spinal cord at the foramen magnum.
