cannollis and assorted fruits for dessert
My grandmother used to make cannollis by shaping them on the end of a broom stick. Both of my Dad’s parents were amazing cooks (Italian, duh) but my grandfather passed away when I was only 2, so I’ve only heard stories and seen pictures. My grandmother though, I once surprised her with a visit out of the blue (from across the country, so it was a pretty big surprise) and, I shit you not, she had the table covered in delicious food within 10 minutes of my arrival. God I miss her.
