i love it when little things peek out from the clouds to remind me how incredibly fortunate i am in my life. i love being able to see a picture like this and being able to recognize where it is and knowing that i am fortunate enough to have grown up in the same state as it. to know that while a lot of people have heard of yosemite valley, not everyone can just pick up on a sunny afternoon and drive out there. not everyone gets to go camping there with their 7th grade class. not everyone has memories of hiking up the mist trail with their father and sitting on the sun-warmed rock cliff eating sandwiches and apples and carrot sticks. i am thankful for the life i am living.
