so the other day i stumbled across some posts and realized this kid i went to middle school with just dropped his first album.
he’s always been talented. he was very involved in theater in middle school & high school. he defined charismatic for me when i was still young enough i had to look it up in my father’s dictionary. we went to different high schools and lost touch. that’s maybe a stretch…we had never been super close to begin with; he was tall, and funny, and charismatic, and i was short and awkward and still figuring out what it meant to be a girl. but our track teams competed against each other, and even though i was still lacking in the cool & the confidence, he was always warm and full of friendly smiles.
since then i’d run into him here and there. i’d heard he’d been in the music scene. heard some of his stuff. he knows how to use words. well.
and now he has an album.
it’s called Small Things To A Giant.
